What I Wore :: Jacket LOVE

We loooove a good jacket here at Polish & Flair. They are the perfect accessory to any look at any point in the year – a light blazer for Summer, leather anything for Fall, structured and feminine coats for Winter and trenches galore for Spring. The Fall trend emails have been pouring in as of late and a ton have focused on Fall coat trends – we love it! Some of our faves to check out: PureWow – 30 Days of Coats, The Zoe Report – Quilted Trend and Zara – you can never go wrong with their selection!

The jacket in today’s look has multi-season capacity – it’s taupe color plays nicely with any outfit, the style is feminine and flattering, and the layered elements can keep you warm on a cool day.

What I Wore :: Shades of Blue

Loving mixing different hues of a single color to create a clean look that is great for a variety of outings! Kate wore this look to a model fitting for the CMH Bridal Fashion Show, a part of 2013’s CMH Fashion Week (checkout details here). This is also a great work look with the sweater tucked in and belted (crushing on this belt!) or turned casual with some cute flats (like these).

What I Wore :: Style on the Go, Part II

As mentioned previously, Kate was out on location this week in Ventura, California. On Wednesday we showcased her on location look – Farm Chic. Today we highlight airport style. Whether a day trip for client meetings (like yesterdays Instagram post – follow us at @polishandflair) or a week long trip like Kate’s, dressing for travel days should always be equal parts stylish and comfortable. Prepare for the elements – keep a scarf or sweater tucked away in your carry-on for chilly flights (love this and this!) and it never hurts to stow some flexible flats for when connections run tight (CitySlips are perfect!). No matter the trip, make it fun and simple!

What I Wore :: A Pop of Orange

This cheery yet professional dress is perfect for a day full of meetings – Paired with a blazer for an important work meeting and then sans blazer for power meetings outside the office. It’s important to note how easily this look can transition into the much needed Happy Hour after such a busy and productive day!

What I Wore :: Day to Night

Friday’s call for an outfit that can make an easy transition from day to night. There is little time between leaving the office to heading to happy hour or a dinner thing, so make it easy with a simple swap to a fun top, heels and a great clutch!
