One of the more interesting trends for Fall is the incorporation of Spring’s pastels. These soft hues play nicely with the rich browns and jewel tones that are more common this time of year. A simple sweater paired with boots and a blazer is a great look for your everyday – work or play. You could also dress it up with a pastel midi skirt, chunky knit and booties. The possibilities to enjoy this trend are endless…and not to mention how these playful colors can add some brightness to a chilly Fall day 🙂
Andddd we are back! The last couple of weeks have been a tad crazy, but we are ready to get back into the swing of things here at Polish and Flair. This week we will be focusing on all things Fall. With this cold surge that is hitting Ohio we have dug out our sweaters, scarves and boots and cannot wait to share some of our favorite looks for this fun season!
This look from Kate is perfect for a Fall Friday at work, an evening out or even a visit to the pumpkin patch!
On Thursday I attended the Rowe Boutique Fashion Show – Night Fall – at the Ivory Room. Everything about it was glam and glitz – it brought the most fashionable out in Columbus and for a great cause, The Jack Roth Fund. The Ivory Room was DECKED OUT, chandeliers sparkled and strung lights glistened, the DJ killed it the entire night, and the food, including Kittie’s Cakes, was absolutely delicious – not to mention the continuous flow of Moscow Mules 🙂 I had worn a fun faux leather skirt to work and decided to keep with that and make a quick change to my shoes and top as I was coming from work and needed to be there right on time to secure a ticket! Here’s what I pulled off!
This cheery yet professional dress is perfect for a day full of meetings – Paired with a blazer for an important work meeting and then sans blazer for power meetings outside the office. It’s important to note how easily this look can transition into the much needed Happy Hour after such a busy and productive day!
We love mixing patterns and textures to create the perfect blend of lady-like trendiness! These fun patterned pants were paired with a metallic gold patent leather belt, textured snake skin heels and a simple, crisp cream blouse. This outfit is great for the office or a day date with friends!
Friday’s call for an outfit that can make an easy transition from day to night. There is little time between leaving the office to heading to happy hour or a dinner thing, so make it easy with a simple swap to a fun top, heels and a great clutch! It has been a long time since women felt forced to suit up. However, even today some women feel bound to a monochromatic wardrobe made up of slacks, pencil skirts and simple blouses. Yet, we can go beyond these items and incorporate color and pattern into our wardrobes. These items are more than accepted in a professional environment. Give it a try!
