Jackie Taliani is the girl everyone wants to be friends with. Why? Well, for starters, she’s a super cool, laid back, no fuss kinda girl. On top of that, she runs the fabulously designed (& successful) IVY Bridal Studio in Columbus, OH, all while looking effortlessly pulled together in pieces that are a mix of classic and trendy. Whether she’s rocking an adorably chic shift dress or donning leather shorts with a printed silk blouse and amazing cropped booties or just simple skinny jeans with a fantastic jacket and scarf, you can bet your bottom dollar she’s owning it. Jackie wears her clothes as if they were made for her – the ultimate sign of style – thus, why we had to spotlight her this week!
If you’re recently engaged, run, don’t walk, to Jackie’s shop! She’s got a great eye for style and will ensure you find your ‘it’ dress for your wedding or reception.
1) Describe your style in 5 words
Evolving, adaptive, mood dependent, trendy, yet never over done.
2) Who is your style icon and why?
I’m obsessed with everything Rachel Bilson wears. She has this way of putting outfits together that make her look both ladylike and edgy at the same time. And her ability to accessorize makes me jealous.
3) What necessary luxury can you not live without:
Moroccan Oil hair treatment. I keep trying to find a cheaper alternative, but nothing even comes close.
4) What’s your favorite trend for the upcoming spring season and how do you plan on wearing it?
I LOVE a pair of fun pants. So my favorite trend has to be the wide leg trouser. I have a couple of silk pairs already that I’m obsessed with. It feels like you’re wearing pajamas!
5) Owning a bridal shop, what is your favorite event you take part in each year or have taken part in the past?
This is easy. Hands down, going to NYC twice a year for bridal fashion week. Every April and October, bridal gown designers showcase their latest collections through runway shows as well as more intimate presentations. We get to see all of the latest trends before they hit the stores and hand pick which gowns we want to carry. Plus, I’m somewhat of a foodie and NYC is heaven for a food lover.
